My role as a therapist is to create a safe and confidential environment where you may explore your concerns. While I draw from the insights and techniques of a variety of psychological theories, there are three basic beliefs that guide my work with clients.
three basic beliefs
that guide my work with clients
Ones family of origin is the primary learning lab for life. It is where we get our most basic information: is the world a safe place? What does it mean to be a human person, a male/female? What about feelings? Is it ok to talk about them? It is where we learn about relationships, communication, and intimacy, and where we learn rules and roles that we use to navigate our way through life. Accordingly, in therapy we will explore these early experiences and learnings in order to illuminate why we are the way we are and why we do the things we do in the present.
Every client who comes to my office already has everything he/she needs for his/her own healing and transformation. My role is not to give you something you dont have, but to help you access your personal resources and inner wisdom so you can make the choices you need to make for your own growth and healing.
The goal is always to help you achieve inner freedom so you can be the best you you can be. The goal of our exploration will be to help you make more conscious, more creative and life-giving choices in your life.
